Terms of sale

Last updated 5 November 2026.

The short version: you pay for an address on the planet, from #1 to #1,000,000, and get a generated nickname and pixel avatar. Once written, your residency is permanent and public, and nobody, including us, can change or delete it from the blockchain.

1. Who we are

Planet Million is run by Alexei Stavila, trading as Planet Million, 49 Station Road, Polegate, East Sussex, BN26 6EA, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@planetmillion.com. This address is also our point of contact for authorities and users under the EU Digital Services Act; you can write to us in English.

2. What you buy

A residency is one address from #1 to #1,000,000, with a nickname and a pixel avatar made by our generator. We record it on the Solana blockchain as a digital collectible named “Planet Million #” and the number, and store its nickname, theme and avatar seed permanently on Arweave. You also get a share card.

A residency is a keepsake. It is not an investment, a financial product or a share in anything, and we offer no token, trading or resale marketplace. The planet is capped at 1,000,000 residents by its code; we cannot add more.

3. Prices and payment

One resident costs $1. Six residents cost $5. Prices include VAT, worked out from where you are. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or Revolut Pay through Stripe, or from your own crypto wallet: USDC, USDT or SOL on Solana, USDC or USDT on Ethereum, or USDC on Base. A crypto payment must be the exact amount shown, in the coin and on the network you chose, sent to the address shown; you pay the network fee. Please take care: we can’t see or recover a payment sent on another network or to another address, so it may be lost for good. A payment in the wrong amount, or in another coin sent to our address, reaches us: we match it to your order or return it to the wallet it came from. For SOL, the amount is quoted when you start paying and holds only until that payment expires. Card statements show “PLANETMIL” and your address, or “PLANETMIL* 6 RESIDENTS” for six; some banks shorten it.

4. Holding an address and a nickname

Choosing an address holds it for 10 minutes, and for 30 minutes once you start paying; the nickname you chose is held with it. If the hold runs out, someone else can take them. In the rare case that your address is taken while your payment goes through, we refund you in full. If only your nickname is taken, we give you a new one from the same theme and kind of words.

5. Families and claim links

With six residents you can make all six now, or make one and send claim links for the rest. You pick a theme and number of words for the family. Whoever opens a claim link makes that resident’s nickname and avatar, starting from your choices or picking their own, and these terms apply to them too. A claim link works for 30 days. If nobody uses it by then, it stops working and we write that resident for you, with a nickname and avatar made in your family’s theme and word count, so nothing you paid for is lost. It then shows on your order page with your other residents, and you can move it to your own wallet like them.

6. Your residency after it is written

However you pay, by card or with crypto, your residency is held for you in a wallet we control, the claim vault, until you move it to your own; you don’t need a crypto wallet to own one. To move it, give us your Solana wallet address on your order page (or, for a resident made from a claim link, on that link’s page). We move residencies in batches, within 7 days; the page shows when it’s done, and so does an email if you gave us your address. You can cancel until then. Check the address: once your residency is in a wallet, only that wallet can move it, and we can’t undo a move to an address you gave us. Once it is written, the nickname, avatar and address cannot be edited, by you or by us.

7. Your right to cancel

We write your residency straight after payment. At checkout you tick: “Move me in now: write my residency to the blockchain immediately. I understand it will be public and permanent, and that once it’s written I can’t cancel or get a refund.” That asks us to start at once and confirms that, once it is written, you lose the 14-day right to cancel that UK and EU consumers normally have. We record when you ticked it and confirm it in your receipt email. Until your residency is written you can still cancel by emailing us, and we will refund you in full.

We refund you automatically if your address is lost as described in section 4, or if we can’t write your residency. Card refunds go back to your card; crypto refunds go back to the wallet you paid from. This doesn’t affect your other legal rights.

8. Who can buy

You must be 18 or over to buy a residency or use a claim link.

9. Nicknames and avatars

You don’t write anything. Nicknames are made only from our word lists: you choose a theme, how many words (one to four) and what kind of word goes where, then re-roll and lock words until you like it. Every nickname is unique across the planet, ignoring capitals. Nicknames and avatars hold no personal information, so they can stay on the blockchain forever.

Our word lists leave out slurs, insults, sexual and bodily terms, drugs, violence, real people, political, religious and war terms, brands and trademarks, and characters from films and games. A blocklist stops innocent words forming offensive phrases together. Avatars are drawn from a number by a published algorithm. If a combination still reads badly, report it (section 10).

10. Reports, hiding and appeals

Anyone can report a resident. A person reviews each report. If a nickname or avatar breaks these terms or the law, we hide it on this site. A hidden resident stays on the blockchain and on Arweave, which nobody can change; hiding is the most we can do. Reports about child sexual abuse may hide a resident at once while we review it, and we report such content to the authorities.

If we hide your resident, we email you a statement of reasons (unless the law or a child-safety investigation stops us): what we did, why, the rule or law we relied on, and whether automation was involved. You can appeal once, through the link in that email, and a person will look again. You can also take a decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body in the EU, or to the courts.

Because nicknames come from our own word lists, if we hide your resident after it is written we refund what you paid for it, to your card or the wallet you paid from. You keep the refund even if an appeal shows it again. This doesn’t apply to a resident locked for a child-safety report to the authorities.

If you believe a resident relates to an intimate image of you shared without your consent, use the removal request (US TAKE IT DOWN Act). We act on it within 48 hours.

11. Your responsibilities

You give us permission to show your nickname, avatar and address on this site, in share cards and in promoting Planet Million. Don’t try to get round the generator or the blocklist, overload the site, or use it for anything unlawful. If you do, we may refuse or cancel your order.

12. The blockchain

The planet runs on Solana, which we don’t control. Its code is public; after a probation period announced on the About page, it becomes permanently unchangeable. If you move your residency to your own wallet, keeping that wallet safe is up to you: we can’t recover a residency from a wallet you lose access to. That includes a wallet we help you create in your browser: its recovery phrase is shown only to you, we never see or keep it, and we can’t give it back. If this website closes, your residency stays on the blockchain and on Arweave, and anyone can redraw your avatar from the published algorithm.

13. Our liability

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for problems with Solana, Arweave, wallets or payment providers we don’t control, or for how other residents use their share cards. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t let us limit.

14. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version in force when you buy applies to your order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can always bring a claim in your local courts.
